Additional Raise Opportunities Announced

Dear Colleagues:
 
Before we conclude the Fall 2021 semester, I want to make sure you saw the announcement from the Chancellor about an additional opportunity for merit increases for EHRA employees and compression and equity adjustments for SHRA employees. This compensation opportunity is in addition to the 2.5% (FY 2022), 2.5% (FY 2023) and bonus pay (paid by Dec. 23, 2021) that was allocated in the State budget.
 
Here is a summary for all EHRA employees:
  • You will receive a $1,000 bonus on Dec. 23, 2021.  This will be $1,500 if you make $75,000 or less. This was allocated in the State budget.
  • You will receive a 2.5% across the board raise, retroactive to July 1, 2021.  This will show up in your pay by January 31. 2022  You will receive notice when we know the exact pay period.  This was allocated in the State budget.
  • You will receive another 2.5% across the board raise in July 2022. This was allocated in the State budget.
Additional News!
The Chancellor has approved additional compensation opportunities. The Chancellor has identified local discretionary resources for merit funding for EHRA employees and compression and equity funding for SHRA employees.  The merit pool for EHRA employees is equivalent to a matching 2.5%  investment from the University. Divisional and departmental leadership will be responsible for the allocation of the merit increases. According to the rules from the System Office, the total raise for an individual cannot exceed 5% above the mandatory 2.5% increase (7.5% in total). Guidance for the allocation of these additional compensation opportunities will be released in January - so stay tuned. 
 
This announcement of additional compensation opportunities, funded by the University, for merit, compression, and equity are welcomed and responsive. If you have an opportunity, please reach out to the Chancellor and thank her for making these additional compensation opportunities available.
