- UNC Charlotte Budget Update - The North Carolina General Assembly is currently in the process of developing its two-year budget. Please stay informed by reading this summary prepared by Betty Doster, Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Constituent Relations.
- Policy Change for the Faculty Ombuds Office - At its June 17 meeting, the Faculty Executive Committee unanimously approved the following two motions:
- Motion to accept the recommendation of the Chancellor to create a full-time Faculty/Staff Ombuds position in consultation with Staff and their representatives. Work with staff on an acceptable job description. There will be an incremental review of the position when hired.
- Motion to direct the Faculty President to work with the Provost Office, Office of Legal Affairs, and the current faculty volunteers in the Faculty Ombuds Office to amend the Faculty Ombuds Office Charter to replace the Faculty Ombuds position with the full-time Faculty/Staff Ombuds position.
