MPAD 6350. Public Sector Financial Management I. (3) Takes students beyond the introductory material in MPAD 6131 Public Budgeting into a more thoroughgoing analysis of the finance function in modern governments. The dimensions of budgeting and financial management theory and practice which are examined include: public sector manageial ment and accounting for revenues and expenditures; basic governmental accounting principles and procedures; the relationship of budgets to the accounting system; principles and concepts of revenue policy and administration. The topics material covered in this course are some of the fundamental aspects of public financial management.should be regarded as “required knowledge” for public financial managers. (Fall) (Evening)
