SPAN 3201. Advanced Grammar and Composition. (3) Prerequisite: SPAN 2202 or permission of the department. Advanced studies in Spanish grammar, composition, syntax, and rhetoric. Native and heritage speakers of Spanish may take SPAN 3203 in lieu of SPAN 3201 and SPAN 3202, but they must also take one additional 3000- or 4000-level Spanish course. (Fall, Spring)

SPAN 3202. Advanced Conversation and Composition. (3) Prerequisite: SPAN 2202 or permission of the department. Study and practice of formal, academic presentations and reports both written and oral. Introduction to concepts in elocution and phonetics. Native and heritage speakers of Spanish may take SPAN 3203 in lieu of SPAN 3201 and SPAN 3202, but they must also take one additional 3000- or 4000-level Spanish course. (Fall, Spring)

SPAN 3203. Advanced Writing and Rhetoric for Native Speakers. (3) Prerequisites: SPAN 2202 or permission of the department; and student must be a native speaker of Spanish, as determined by the student’s advisor. Continued studies in Spanish grammar, composition, syntax, and rhetoric for academic purposes. This course may be taken in lieu of SPAN 3201 and SPAN 3202, plus one additional 3000- or 4000-level Spanish course. Replaces SPAN 3202. (Fall)
