CJUS 3031. Criminal Justice Learning Community I. (3) (W) Prerequisite: CJUS 1100. This is the first course in the year long sequence Learning Community for Criminal Justice Transfer Students. This course is designed to introduce transfer students to criminal justice and expose them to the discipline with an emphasis in writing. As a group, students will examine the academic and social culture at UNC Charlotte and discuss a variety of topics including goal setting, decision making, study shills, time management, and campus and criminal justice resources. The writing assignments are diverse and cover a range of criminal justice related topics including a report describing an organization where they will intern during the spring semester, which is part of the second related Learning Community Course.
