ESCI 3190. Biogeography. (3) Cross-listed as GEOG 3190. Prerequisite: ESCI 1101 or BIOL 2120. Course will focus on the patterns of life across the Earth and the causes of those patterns. Emphasis will be placed on ecological patterns and historical patterns of biodiversity. Time will also be spent on the origin of the Earth’s biological diversity and methods for conserving that biodiversity. Course will emphasize student written and oral communication. (Fall)
