ECGR 5136. Semiconductor Optoelectronic Materials and Devices (3). Crosslisted as ECGR 4136. Prerequisite: ECGR 3133 with grade of C or better, or permission of department. Direct bandgap materials; Compound and wide bandgap semiconductors; Electronic properties; Optical properties; Generation and recombination; Junction theory; Light emitting devices; Optical detectors. Graduate students are required to present results of an independent device research project in a classroom presentation. Credit will not be given for ECGR 5136 where credit has been given for ECGR 4136.
