ARTZ 3306. Advanced 3D Modeling and Digital Fabrication. (3) Prerequisites: C or above in ARTA 3201, ARTZ 2306, and any one of the following: ARTZ 2141 (Sculpture 1), ARTF 2151 (Fibers 1), or ARTC 2171 (Ceramics Handbuilding); Art major. Whearas ARTZ 2306: Intro to 3D Modeling and Digital Fabrication was focused primarily on learning foundational software and fabrication methods, the advanced course aims to integrate these techniques with analog making methodologies and explore the conceptual implications of digital making within a greater art and design context. Additionally, this course will expose students to advanced 3D modeling and fabrication methods. Projects will emphasize the use of digital fabrication towards the development of a personal design language. Six contact hours (On Demand)
