Early Voting Starts Tomorrow: Please Encourage Voting
Dear Faculty –
Good news! UNC Charlotte will be hosting a One-Stop Early Voting Site beginning Thursday, October 20 and ending Saturday, November 5 in the Cone Center. The polls are open from 8 a.m until 7:30 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturdays. and 1:00 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sundays. More information.
“One-Stop” means that voters can register to vote in Mecklenburg County, if needed, and cast a ballot at this location. This is great news for our students, faculty, and staff who have relocated to Mecklenburg County and may live on campus or off campus. Students may use their university address for voting purposes and to register to vote.
Registration is not allowed on election day, Tuesday, November 8. That’s why One-Stop Early Voting is so great – you can register and vote in one location.
Please do what you can to encourage voting, especially at our campus early voting location. All non-partisan “pro-voting” messages are allowed and encouraged in our University policies.
Let’s do all we can to encourage voting, in every election.
UNC Charlotte has helpful voter resources through 49er Democracy Experience.
Warmly, Susan
